Police investigating car-jacking in Waterloo

A car-jacking in Waterloo has sparked a police investigation.

Just before 7 a.m. Saturday morning officers responded to the area of Harvard Place and Bluevale Street North for reports of a car-jacking.

After investigating, they discovered a 52-year-old Waterloo woman was approached while sitting in her vehicle.

A man waved what appeared to be a firearm at the woman and then stole her vehicle. She was not hurt in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with more information is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777 extension 6369. Anonymous information can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submitted online.
