Waterloo Regional Police responded to reports of shots fired early Friday morning in the Sekura Street and Munch Avenue area in Cambridge.
Police said the shots were fired into a residence in the area of Sekura and Munch.
That’s just a short distance away from Waterloo Regional Police’s South Division headquarters.
The public is warned to expect an increased police presence around the scene for several hours.
Speaking during a media conference, police spokesperson Chris Iden said there were a minimum of 11 shots fired.
Police said no injuries have been reported as a result of the incident, and the shooting is believed to be targeted in nature.
They are asking for the public’s help in finding the driver of a white SUV with a missing passenger side headlight.
Sekura Street between Munch Avenue and Hilldale Drive is now open after a lengthy closure Friday morning.
