Local police are investigating a reported act of mischief – as a speed enforcement camera in Baden has been targeted once again.
Police received that call on Sunday just before 10 a.m., bringing officers to the area of Sir Adam Beck Public School off Snyder’s Road West.
Images from the scene taken by a CityNews reporter show the speed enforcement camera had been cut down, straight through the wires. The camera on top of the device had also been smashed in.
It’s believed the damage was dealt some time between the evening of Dec. 16 and the morning of Dec. 17.
Regional police note that this is the third time the speed enforcement camera has been targeted since July 2023. The damage is believed to be intentional.
Anyone with information that could assist police in their investigation is asked to reach out.
