Police seek masked suspect in Waterloo university district sexual assault

Police continue to investigate a sexual assault that occurred on October 27, involving a suspect wearing a black mask similar to the one above.

A full-face black mask is at the centre of a sexual assault investigation in the university district of Waterloo.

Regional Police believe a male suspect was wearing the costume when he reportedly sexually assaulted a young woman on Friday night.

Police said the victim was walking in the Columbia Street West and Hagey Boulevard area between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. when she was approached by that unknown man.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
