You may want to plan for some disruptions on the drive through Kitchener on Monday.
The Region of Waterloo has notified motorists of a two-day closure coming to Fischer-Hallman Road for surface asphalt paving.
Fischer-Hallman Road will be closed to through traffic between Bleams Road and Strasburg Creek, just north of Seabrook Drive by the Williamsburg Cemetery, on both Sept. 18 and 19.
A rain date of Sept. 20 and 21 has also been established if required.
Motorists looking to access the Sunfish Shopping Centre, referred to as the ‘Food Basics Plaza’, will still be able to do so via Bleams Road.
The region has specified that two-way traffic will be maintained during other construction activity in the area – though that activity could temporarily affect access to the nearby plaza.
Detours will be posted during the two-day closure, with drivers encouraged to use Bleams Road to Trussler Road, and on to Huron Road.
