OPP officer rescues kitten on Highway 7/8

It wasn’t the average ‘purr-suit’ for a Cambridge OPP officer when they discovered a kitten on Highway 7/8.
According to OPP, the officer was conducting a traffic stop when they heard a sound coming from the ditch.
“A few minutes later, as the officer was speaking with the driver, a kitten emerged from the grass and sat at the officers feet,” read a social media post from OPP.
Police said the driver who was stopped was cautioned and let go, and the kitten was rescued.
The animal was then taken to veterinarian services for care.
