By CityNews Kitchener Staff

Police have laid charges after a crash this summer that saw a vehicle slam into the LCBO in Uptown Waterloo.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. on July 15. According to police, the driver of an SUV lost control on King Street South at the bend on William Street, and ended up hitting the liquor store.

Both the driver and the passenger in the SUV were hurt and hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have now charged the driver, a 56-year-old Kitchener man, with multiple offences.

They include impaired driving, dangerous driving, speeding, and stunt driving.

The accused will appear in court in September.
