One of four people hurt in a Kitchener townhouse explosion last month has now died as the investigation into the blast continues.
The explosion happened in the Elm Ridge Drive and Queen's Boulevard area on January 18.
Two children received minor injuries, while an adult man and adult woman were seriously injured and sent to an out-of-region hospital.
In an update on February 14, police said a 35-year-old Kitchener man has been pronounced dead as a result of the injuries he sustained.
The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office deemed the townhouse explosion criminal in nature and police said a search of the residence turned up evidence that was consistent with illicit drug production.
While police said criminal charges were anticipated, none have been laid as of yet.
