Kitchener man facing child pornography charges

A Kitchener man is facing several charges in connection with a child pornography investigation.

The investigation was launched in August, and also involved the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States. A person of interest was later identified in Waterloo Region.

On December 19, police carried out a search warrant at a residence in Kitchener.

A 47-year-old man was arrested and charged with voyeurism, making child pornography, distributing child pornography and possessing child pornography. Police also identified a child victim.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
