Lukshman Ragunathan had to go to a few different stores to use the ticket checker before he realized his big lottery win was real.
The 35-year-old accountant from Cambridge won a Maxmillions prize worth $1 million in the Lotto Max draw on April 15.
“I went home and told my parents – they were shocked and happy for me,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
Ragunathan describes the feeling of winning as shocking and very pleasant. “It’s exciting and brings me happiness,” he said.
He's planning to invest and take some vacations in the future.
