New Hamburg Mennonite Relief Sale returning to in-person event

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

Another major local event is returning to an in-person format.

The New Hamburg Mennonite Relief Sale will be held May 27/28 at the New Hamburg fairgrounds.

“We are excited to be back at the New Hamburg fairgrounds next week,” John Reimer, the NHMRS organizing team chair, explained in a news release. “While we pivoted and had online auctions in 2020 and 2021, nothing beats a tea ball or doughnut enjoyed while watching the quilt auction in person.

Those attending the sale are also encouraged to bring emergency supplies to help fill containers for Ukraine. They're looking for relief, hygiene kits, as well as soap.

Event hours are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 27, and 7 a.m. until early afternoon on Saturday, May 28.

You can check out the New Hamburg Mennonite Relief Sale website for more information.
