A Cambridge bar has been handed a fine of $50,000 after pleading guilty to liquor-related charges, stemming from a fatal crash almost two years ago.

St. Louis Bar and Grill pleaded guilty last month to two charges under the Liquor Licence Act.

Sentencing came down on Thursday and a spokesperson with the Superior Court of Justice confirmed the bar has been given two years to pay the penalty.

The crash happened in November of 2019 and a 67-year-old Puslinch man was killed.

Police charged a Cambridge man with impaired driving causing death and later determined he had left St. Louis Bar and Grill prior to getting behind the wheel.
