Humane Society caring for snake found in plastic bag inside box

A disturbing story from our local Humane Society.
On social media on Monday, the Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford-Perth said a ball python snake was found in a plastic bag inside of a box.
A post said, “Sadly, the snake had tape stuck to him which caused some wounds on his belly and neck.”
Officials have reminded residents to report acts of animal cruelty to the Ontario Animal Protection Call Centre. The number to call is 1-833-9-ANIMAL.
The Humane Society said the ball python is not the same snake that was reported missing by Waterloo Regional Police on Monday, and noted this specific snake has been in their care since last week after it was discovered by a Kitchener resident.
