Wilfrid Laurier University has issued a public statement after a student reportedly posted an anti-Semitic video to the social media platform TikTok.
The video was then shared in the Facebook group 'Stop Antisemitism', and a post read in part, “This type of incitement for violence and anti-Semitism must never be allowed.”
On Friday, officials with Laurier said they are aware of the video and are taking appropriate action.
A university spokesperson provided the following statement to 570 NEWS, “Wilfrid Laurier University does not condone behaviours that promote hate, induce fear, or threaten people's safety. This type of behaviour is unacceptable and, we are committed to creating a culture that is inclusive and safe for everyone.”
They added it appears the video has been removed from the account that originally posted it.
