The Laurier community is in mourning after the death of an 18-year old student.
David Marques-Domingos, a first-year computer science student, passed away on December 30.
Kate McCrae Bristol, the Dean of Students at Laurier, wrote in a statement while she did not know David personally, she's learned through conversations he “had a remarkable spirit and was greatly loved.”
Flags are at half mast across the university.
The school is also providing support to anyone impacted by David's passing.
You can either contact Laurier's human resources department, or you can reach out to the Student Wellness Centre, the Here 24/7 line or Delton Glebe Counselling Centre.
