GRAND RIVER HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

The Grand River Hospital Foundation launched their first-ever community 50/50 lottery last month in response to the continued need of having to raise critical funds for health care in a year where many traditional fundraising events couldn't take place.
The CareNeverStops 50/50 is the Kitchener-Waterloo’s newest community lottery, and featured accessible entry (as low as $5). All proceeds will support Grand River Hospital’s COVID-relief efforts.
Throughout the course of the lottery, 12 early bird prizes – cash, gift cards and otherwise – provided by local sponsors, and valued at approximately $1000 each, were awarded.
Today at 10AM, the grand prize winner was drawn. Trina Sheppard of Kitchener, Ontario will be awarded exactly half of the proceeds from ticket sales – a generous $31,552.50. The same amount will go to support COVID-19 response efforts at Grand River Hospital.
