Crash leads to power outage in Kitchener

Following reports of a collision at Highland Road West and Westmount Road East in Kitchener, Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro responded to the scene where crews found a damaged hydro pole.
Regional police have reported a two-vehicle collision, which caused one of the cars to hit the pole.
No injuries have been reported, and Highland Road remains closed between Highland Crescent and Westmount Road.
The crash occurred around 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, and the investigation is ongoing.
Avoid the area while crews work to repair the issue.
Currently on scene in the area of Highland Rd W and Westmount Rd W in Kitchener for a collision involving two vehicles. One vehicle struck a hydro pole.
