LUXEMBOURG (AP) _ Intelsat SA (INTEQ) on Thursday reported a loss of $218.8 million in its first quarter.

The Luxembourg-based company said it had a loss of $1.55 per share. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs, came to $1.48 per share.

The communications and satellite company posted revenue of $458.8 million in the period.

The company’s shares closed at 46 cents. A year ago, they were trading at $17.83.
