A number of people came to the Central location on Queen Street in Kitchener to check out the studio which offers many services.

In addition to the recording studios, there are options for virtual reality using the Oculus Rift S as well as a HP Z 3D Scanner and Ultimaker 2+ printers.

The most exciting part of this expansion, there are no fees for booking time, all you need is a library card.

The entire renovation cost $350,000, all of which was funded by 180 community donors and a grant from the Government of Canada.

From Wednesday until Sunday, the lab will be open for drop-in tours and equipment demonstrations.

There are many workshops to participate in beyond this week. You can find a complete list of events at the Heffner Studio here.

Although, online booking of the studio is not set up yet, it is expected to be up and running early in 2020.

For now, you can book time at the Kitchener Public Library – Central location itself.

You can find a link to the Heffner Studio's website here.
