Say hello to our new Miss Oktoberfest!

Erin Wetzel was crowned Miss Oktoberfest 2019 at the Miss Oktoberfest Gala Ball Friday night at LOT 42.

She was crowned in front of a crowd of over 500 people by Sandra Dynka, who was last year’s Miss Oktoberfest.

Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Executive Director Alfred Lowrick said in a press release, “Each year we see many talented young women apply for the role. It was a pleasure to get to know these women over the past couple of weeks. We are excited to see what Erin does in this ambassador role this year.”

Wetzel was born and raised in Maryhill, a small village in the Township of Woolwich. She said her goal as Miss Oktoberfest is to “be a person to whom others can relate and to inspire others by living an inspired life.”

Opening ceremonies for KW Oktoberfest will be held on October 11 at the corner of King and Frederick Street.
