Only one time during the career of a Canadian Armed Forces Officer do they receive their Queen's Commissioning Scroll.  At RCSCC Warspite, we were lucky enough to have three officers receive them at the same time.  The Queen's Commission is a very special document that solidifies the member as an officer within the Canadian Armed Forces and is signed by a member of the Royal Family or their designate.

On Tuesday October 1, 2019, Slt Ron Griffin, Slt Karen Ellis and A/Slt Donnie Heibein received their commissioning scrolls from the Commanding Officer of RCSCC Warspite, Lt(N) Eric Bremner.

A Commissioning Scroll is tailored to each member given their name and rank, but the general information provided grants that the member is now an officer within the Canadian Armed Forces.  See below for the general outline in what is contained on a commissioning scroll document.

The cadets, officers, parents and league members of RCSCC Warspite congratulate Slt Griffin, Slt Ellis and A/Slt Heibein on receiving their commission.

“Take pride in this document, it is very special and you only receive one.  I would like to officially welcome you as commissioned officers within the Canadian Armed Forces.” Lt(N) Eric Bremner, Commanding Officer.

Bravo Zulu to all three of officers and have a great career within the Canadian Armed Forces and Cadet Instructor Cadre.
