Student seriously injured in fight at Cambridge high school

Waterloo Regional Police say a student was seriously injured following a fight between students at St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School.

Officers were called to the Cambridge high school just before noon on Thursday.

It was also alleged during the fight, one of the students involved made a threat, but police investigated and determined it was unviable.

The injured student was later released from hospital.

Police also say their investigation continues.
