Carl Zehr Square outdoor rink now open

Residents can now use the rink, even after the warm weekend we've had.
Roger Baulk with the City of Kitchener said crews made sure they were able to open the rink at Carl Zehr Square on Monday morning.
“The square is refrigerated and was able to maintain itself over the weekend,” said Baulk. “Staff did a great job getting the water and the rain off.”
Baulk said the rink will now be open until March break and weather depending, might be extended into April.
“This rink was right on time. We always shoot to have it up and running for the Christkindl Market which starts this week.”
The rink will be open daily from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m.
