Special weather statement for Waterloo Region

A serious burst of fall weather is in store for Tuesday.

Environment Canada has now issued a special weather statement as strong wind gusts will develop sometime Tuesday.

Some areas could see gusts of up to 80 km an hour, meaning loose objects could be tossed about and cause injury or damage.

Areas surrounding the region are already under a wind warning.

The gusts are expected to die down by the late evening hours.
