Large industrial park planned for Cambridge

A 400 acre industrial park has been approved in Cambridge.
IP Park Industrial Campus will sit near Highway 8 and the 401, in the Sportsworld area, it will stretch to Fountain Street and beyond.
Intermarket Real Estate Group, which is behind the project, says the land is development ready and fills a huge need in the area.
It will be the largest industrial project in Waterloo Region and took more than ten years to put in place.
Intermarket President, Mark Kindrachuk tells 570 NEWS this part will be different because they are incorporating real urban planning into its' design.
“One of the big things we did was create a green space plan. Talking to tenants they're much more sophisticated and they don't want to be in concrete boxes, they want the amenities that they're used to if they're working in downtown Kitchener or Uptown Waterloo.”
Kindrachuk says they plan to have shovels in the ground by 2019.
