More LRT testing happening in Kitchener

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

If you spent time in downtown Kitchener on Wednesday, you may have noticed a few ION vehicles being tested.

The region has received eight of the 14 vehicles so far, with a ninth expected to arrive this month.

570 NEWS spoke to residents about the ION being up and running in a few months.

“I'm excited about it because it's going to be convenient for different people.” said one man.

“I like that the region's growing, it's very innovative and it's just an easier way to get around.” said another woman the station spoke to.

The ION is scheduled to be up and running by December.

A transit talk is taking place tonight at 6:30 at the Waterloo Public Library.
