Charges pending following crash near Elmira

A Listowel man, 45, was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries to his ribs following a crash in Woolwich Township.

The single vehicle crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police say a tractor trailer, filled with turkeys, was eastbound on Listowel Road when it lost control, went down into the ditch, and rolled over.

Several homes lost power as a hydro pole was knocked down as a result of the collision.

Listowel Road was closed between Steffler Road and Floradale Road while police conducted their investigation.

Police say charges are pending.
