Two drivers charged in Kitchener crash

Both drivers face charges after a two-vehicle crash in Kitchener over the weekend.

Regional Police responded to a crash at the intersection of Fischer-Hallman Boulevard and Ottawa Street North around 5:30 p.m., Sunday.

The driver of a car heading east on Ottawa collided with a westbound pick-up truck. Both drivers were sent to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The drive of the car, a 70-year-old Kitchener man, was charged with not wearing his seat belt.

The driver of the truck, a 53-year-old Kitchener man, was charged for making an unsafe turn.
