Special Weather Statement ended

Environment Canada has now lifted a special weather statement for Waterloo Region and Northern Wellington County, which called for 5 to 10 cm of snow between Sunday night and Monday morning across most of the southern province.

The snowfall affected the Monday morning commute, as roads were slippery and difficult to navigate.

The national weather agency is advising drivers to use extra caution, be prepared for hazardous conditions, and anticipate longer travel times.
