King and Erb reopen to traffic

After being closed for almost six months, King and Erb in Uptown Waterloo has reopened to traffic.
Vehicles were able to move through again as of 5:20 p.m. on Friday.
There have been various construction projects done in that area over the past two years.
The latest included a streetscaping project on King Street. You will notice new pavement and sidewalks.
“The message is actually that King Street is open in Uptown Waterloo, so vehicular traffic can in fact flow through all of Uptown Waterloo, not just King and Erb, so our entire BIA corridor will be open,” said Patti Brooks, Executive Director of the Uptown Waterloo BIA.
“Frankly we’re just thrilled this is finally happening for us.” added Brooks.
