Police investigating homicide on Chandler Drive, Kitchener man killed

Regional Police are investigating their third homicide of the year, following a fight at an apartment on Chandler Drive in Kitchener.
Police say the victim, a Kitchener man in his late 20’s, was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Two males, under the age of 18, have since been arrested and charged with second degree murder.
Inspector Mike Haffner says officers were called to the Ottawa and Westmount area of Kitchener around 11:30 p.m., Thursday.
“We responded to Chandler Drive on report of an altercation between a number of males,” Haffner says. “Upon arrival of the police officers, we did identify one male with a significant injury.”
There will be a heavy police presence in the Chandler Drive area, Friday.
