The Ontario Government is moving in to the Communitech Hub in Kitchener.
This morning they will officially launch the “Ontario Digital Services Lab”
The lab will focus on making the government’s online tools better, faster and more user friendly.
Ontario Minister of Advanced Education Deb Mathews and Deputy Minister Hillary Hartley will be on hand to open the lab.
Hartly is the province’s first digital office and co-founder of 18F in the U.S. (an office dedicated to help government implement and improve digital services, much like the ODS Lab) and a former Innovation Fellow under Barack Obama.
The lab will also feature, what they call the “Empathy Lounge” where they will conduct user research and create prototypes based on their research.
