Region and outside workers ratify new deal

Waterloo Region and its outside workers have ratified a new contract.
The deal is retroactive to January 1st of this year and runs through the end of December 2021.
It includes annual wage increases ranging between 1.5 and 2 per cent.
CUPE Local 1656 represents over 200 workers in transportation, waste management, water services, fleet services and facilities management.
