OPP say a pair of locals face additional charges in connection with a two-month long speed racing investigation through Barrie.
Police say they were bombarded with calls from witnesses back on April 2nd, after numerous luxury vehicles were spotted aggressively speeding down Highway 400.
As the cars entered Barrie, police officers conducted a rolling block of the highway to slow down traffic and identify the suspects.
In total, 15 people lost their licence and vehicle as they were charged with stunt driving.
OPP continued to investigate the incident though, and say 12 of those drivers now face additional dangerous driving charges.
Those include 25-year-old Musa Hasan of Cambridge, and 28-year-old Mohammad Ghaffar of Kitchener.
This comes after OPP released alarming numbers, as they say there’s been an 80 per cent increase in the number of fatalities caused by speeding or aggressive driving.
