The Ontario retailer unveiled its official e-commerce solution Beer Xpress, and Waterloo Region has two stores where the new service will be a permanent fixture for the ultimate consumer experience.

Last year, the retailer started trial runs with the service in cities across the province, but market research found Waterloo Region really did use and benefit from it the most.

The reason? VP of The Beer Store Andrea Randolph says it’s because we’re tech savvy. “Since Kitchener-Waterloo is so tech heavy, early adapting community, we decided to deliberately focus all our efforts and resources to make sure it was our first, fully connected “Beer Xpress” community.

Randolph says it’s too early to tell how many people will truly use the new service, but Randolph says it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3. “You download the app on your smartphone or if you have a computer, you go to the website beerxpress.ca. Then you sign in or checkout as a guest. After that, you’re free to browse, order, and pay for the available beverages you want.”

It’s not just about the experience, but it’s also a time-saver. Randolph tells 570 News the feedback they were given really goes into the entire process of building the service for consumers. “We really heard from people that the main benefit of this new service is skipping the line. You can order what you want on a Wednesday and pick it up on Friday. It goes a long way especially for people who have big gatherings or parties and don’t have time to stand in line.”

Beer Xpress is available right now at two locations in Waterloo Region.

In Kitchener at 875 Highland Rd. West, Unit 80 & in Waterloo at 70 Weber St. North.
