Prime Minister Trudeau tours Magna Polycon Industries in Guelph

Prime Minister Trudeau made a stop in the Royal City Thursday.

He was in Guelph this afternoon touring Magna Polycon Industries on Independence Place.

During his visit, Trudeau got a tour of the facilities and even got put to work as an auto manufacturer–putting the last pieces on a Dodge Charger’s front end.

David Gray is the General Manager of Polycon and says it’s reassuring to the see our PM show an interest in local manufacturing.

“It’s just a great experience to see our Prime Minister take time out of his day to come see our employees and be part of the process to see manufacturing and take attention to manufacturing and how important it is to Ontario and Canada.”

Trudeau is in Waterloo and Cambridge on Friday.

He will start the day speaking with media at the Perimeter Institute in Waterloo and then head to Canadian General-Tower Limited in Cambridge.
