A cold and snowy start to spring

Waterloo Region has seen its fair share of snow over the last few days.

Twenty five centimetres of snow dumped on us with more on Sunday.

David Phillips with Environment Canada says we typically see around 7 centimetres of snow this time of year.

Phillips says we are about 10 cm away from breaking a snow fall record for April.

Meantime, Waterloo Region broke a cold record today when we hit minus 14.4, breaking the old record of minus 11.7 degrees from 1954.
