Power on in Downtown Kitchener

Downtown Kitchener was without power for about 20 minutes Friday afternoon.

Kitchener Wilmot Hydro says it was an emergency outage for equipment repairs and affected around 1,100 customers.

The outage was expected to last more than twice as long as it did, but crews were about to make repairs quicker than originally thought.
