Freezing rain expected in Waterloo Region this evening

Get ready for some freezing rain this evening.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Waterloo Region and surrounding area calling for a slippery drive home.

The statement covers Guelph, Erin, Southern Wellington County, and Waterloo Region.

They warn a brief period of freezing rain could result in icy highways, roads, walkways and parking lots.
