Listowel District Secondary School under brief lockdown Thursday

Listowel District Secondary School was briefly under lockdown Thursday afternoon as OPP investigated a threat made to the school.
Police did not release details as to what the threat entailed.
Shortly after 1 pm, that was downgraded to a hold and secure.
This meaning students could move from classroom to classroom but no one could come and go from the building.
The hold and secure was lifted at the end of the school day.
The Avon Maitland District School Board says Listowel Eastdale and Listowel Central elementary schools were also in a hold and secure position.
At the end of the school day, Police did authorized regular bus pick-up.
