Haven House construction kicks-off

The Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region gathered with the public today to kick-off the construction of a new women’s shelter in Cambridge.

The Haven House is expected to open it’s doors sometime next year and will offer housing and other services to victims of domestic violence.

The shelter will be moved and constructed on Acorn Way, and those involved say the house hopes to hold over 45 women and children.
