10:00 – The Aud – What’s in a name?

Seems most local residents have little appetite to see a name change for the Kitchener memorial auditorium. A survey conducted by a city of Kitchener committee has found that rebranding the facility is a low priority for citizens. Instead, residents would rather see the city do something different than renaming the Aud. A report is being prepared for city council that identifies potential revenue streams at the city’s rinks, pools and fields. A major sponsor at the arena could mean millions in revenue – but Kitchener city councillor Dave Schnider says he would rather see funds generated from renaming trail systems or other sports facilities.
10:30 – Baltimore Update

The streets of Baltimore are quiet this morning after an all-night curfew enforced by three-thousand police and troops from the National Guard appeared to hold. About 10 arrests were reported last night as the curfew began and police dispersed about 200 protesters, but no other trouble was reported. Baltimore has endured two days of protests and violence tied to the case of Freddie Gray, who died from a spinal cord injury a week after his April 12th arrest.
