570 News recognizes those who go “Above and Beyond” in Waterloo Region. Every week we will choose someone who has gone “Above and Beyond” in our community. Tell us who you think is deserving of next week’s award by filling out the nomination form.
This week we recognize Mark Udowiczenko, who has volunteered in the kitchen at Meals On Wheels for nearly two years.
He was nominated by Will Pace, who says Mark helps prepare up to 350 meals, two days a week. “We have so many volunteers so it’s hard to pick one person, but Mark is just one of those inspirational guys. He’s always there when you need him.”
Will says Mark will sometimes stay late to sweep and mop, even if everyone else has had to leave for the day.
