Debris found near Vancouver, suspected to be from missing plane: TSB

VANCOUVER – A spokesman for the Transportation Safety Board of Canada says debris found in the mountains north of Vancouver is believed to be from a missing plane.
A Carson Air cargo plane with two pilots aboard was flying from Vancouver to Prince George, B.C., but was lost shortly after 7 a.m. on Monday.
Two Cormorant helicopters along with C-130 and Aurora aircrafts helped search-and-rescue ground teams look for the Sweringen SA 226 aircraft.
But TSB spokesman Bill Yearwood says ground crews have come across debris in the North Shore mountains near Mt. Seymour and believe it’s from the plane.
He says the federal agency will deploy investigators to the site as soon as they can confirm the origins of the debris and access the site.
Yearwood says he has no information on the status of the pilots and TSB investigators will not be heading to the location on Monday night.
