Former Guelph Mayor John Counsell passes away

A former long serving mayor of Guelph has passed away.

John Counsell died Wednesday at the age of 89.

Counsell served as mayor for three terms to 1994.

A celebration of his life is taking place Friday morning at the St. George’s Anglican Church on Woolwich Street in Guelph at 11am.
