Residents on the east side of Waterloo are being told not to be alarmed if they see a military presence in the RIM Park area this weekend.
About 50 reserve soldiers from 31 Combat Engineer Regiment will be there today through Sunday taking part in a training exercise.
They’ll be building a temporary bridge.
The soldiers will be wearing tactical equipment including helmets, tactical vests and they could be carrying weapons, although they won’t be loaded with ammunition.
