11:00 – Outgoing Mayor, Carl Zehr, reflects on time in office
He joins Eric Drozd in studio and takes your phone calls. The City of Kitchener is marking Zehr’s retirement today after 26 years of community service. It will be held at City Hall Rotunda from 4-7 tonight. Presentations are at 5:30.
11:30 – Waterloo Region introduces 6 initiatives to assist with homelessness

The Region of Waterloo has released a short and long term solutions that will address the needs of the homeless. It was developed following the closure of multiple Out of the Cold sites and includes 6 initiatives. Staff presented the plan to the Community Service Committee and the green light has already been given on some of the recommendations. He has been quoted as saying some rules surrounding identification and substance use could be relaxed.
