11:00- Fall food trends and Sourcing local food
Chef Jason Bangerter, Executive Chef at Langdon Hall
It’s harvest time and the Executive Chef at Canada’s best hotel (for the past 3 years) discusses fall food trends, sourcing locally grown items and the new menu at Langdon Hall. In the fall of 2013 Bangerter accepted the position of Executive Chef at Langdon Hall Country House Hotel and Spa in Cambridge. The restaurant has long been known for its regional cuisine, using the 75 acre estate that it sits upon as inspiration for the menus. A chef’s kitchen garden, maple syrup production, honey and foraging for wild edibles all on site, allow the menus of the award winning dining room to offer the freshest ingredients to guests. In the Spring of 2014, Jason was selected as the only Canadian Chef to take part in the first Relais & Chateaux Gourmet Fest at Carmel by the Sea, California as part of the 60th anniversary celebrations for the renowned association.
