Plans for old Galt Post Office revealed

Members of the media were given the chance to take a look at the revised plans for the old Galt Post Office on Thursday, which is being renovated into a library and restaurant that features a black box theatre, a cafe, and gaming stations.
“We’ve heard from the public and revisions were made based on that feedback,” Cambridge Mayor Doug Craig says. “It’s really great to see this level of community interest. When the restoration is finished, I think that people will be pleased with the outcome. This building is definitely going to become a new community digital hub.”
Director of Design and Development, Bob Paul, says many factors influence will the design of the building, which is still underway.
“We need to work with the GRCA and Hydro,” Paul says. “There are a lot of things that can inlfuence the design, right to the final drawings — and the final drawings, we’re aiming [to have completed] for December.”
