What you need to vote

It’s election day across the province and many of us will be heading to the polls to mark out ballots.
Louis Silcox is the Returning Officer for Kitchener-Centre and tells 570 News, voters should remember to bring their voter registration card along with a piece of identification in order to vote.
“The most popular one that is used is a drivers license, but almost any government issued document will satisfy the identity portion, if you are already on the list.”

Silcox adds that if you did not receive a voter registration card or are a student from out of town, you can use a post secondary acceptance or a utility bill.
” A post secondary school admissions letter, or a utility bill that puts your name and address together…then at the poll you can be added to the list and vote immediately.”
Polls will be open for 12 hours starting from 9am and will close at 9pm.
